The GoodComms software is designed to be self-hosted. We do not collect, store, or process any communications, files, or user data transmitted through the GoodComms software. All such data remains on the user's own infrastructure.
When you sponsor the project via third-party processors (Stripe, Ko-fi, GitHub Sponsors), we receive only the information necessary to process your transaction and manage your sponsorship (e.g., your email address and name). We do not store credit card details.
The GoodComms Desktop client and Server do not contain tracking, telemetry, or "phone home" functionality. Your IP address is only visible to the server you choose to connect to.
